Hardwood Plywood

We stock Baltic Birch plywood, Red Oak plywood, Pre-finished Maple plywood and phenolic coated plywood.  Our Red Oak and Prefinished Maple plywoods are made in the USA. This means you will have a plywood that has a veneer core that will not warp or delaminate. These things will make your project easier to manage and ensure that you get a good quality item that lasts.

We also ship baltic birch, red oak, prefinished maple and phenolic plywood via UPS in quarter sheet increments or smaller.  The quarter sheet pricing does apply on sizes quarter sheet and over when shipping Baltic Birch and Red Oak Plywood.   Phenolic and Pre-finished Maple ship in quarter sheet increments with a $5 cutting charge for full sheet purchases. Quarter sheet pricing applies to any quantity under a full sheet for phenolic and pre-finished maple.

A Little More About Baltic Birch Plywood:

Baltic Birch Plywood is a plywood with a very fine wood grain.  It is a very fine and flat surface which takes paint well.  The BB/BB grade of Baltic Birch sold at Kencraft has oval plugs in both faces.  

Baltic birch is available in several different plys / thicknesses. The more plys (layers) there are, the more stable the board will be. Baltic Birch plywood has a finer grain than most other plywood.

The way it is constructed allows for very few holes or voids in between the layers, if any at all. Here at Kencraft, Baltic Birch Plywood thicknesses are available in:

• 1/8”
• 1/4"
• 1/2"
• 3/4”

Baltic Birch Plywood can be used in a number of projects including, but not limited to the following:

Plywood is a type of engineered board made from thin sheets of wood, called plies or wood veneers. The layers are glued together, each with its grain at right angles to adjacent layers for greater strength.

• Known for light color and strength

• Open knots or defects in the plywood have been cut out and replaced with patches
• Small pin knots in the plywood sheet are allowed
• Plywood is typically used for drawers, scroll sawing plywood, die cutting, shelving, veneer applications, displays, doll houses, jigs and fixtures

• Available in ¾” or ¼” plywood sheets
• Special order plywood thickness
• Cabinet grade plywood sheet
• 1 sided = ¼”
• 2 sided = ¼”
• 2 sided = ¾”
• Domestic redo oak plywood
• Veneer core
• Used in cabinets, shelving, scroll sawing, CNC machining, table tops, entertainment centers, furniture, flat panel doors

Phenolic coated Baltic Birch plywood

• Plywood is smooth on both sides
• Baltic birch core with a baked on resin coating
• Durable plywood
• Used to make jigs and fixtures, as well as for router tables or any surface that you want to be smooth or slippery

Pre-finished Maple Plywood sheets:

• Special UV resistant polyurethane coating
• ¼” plywood sheet is finished on one side and is grade C4
• ½” and ¾” Plywood are finished on two sides and are grade C2
• Rotary cut plywood
• Plywood has veneer core to prevent delaminating
• Used for shelving, interior cabinet construction, 1’4” plywood is good for drawer bottoms, drawer sides can be made of ½” or ¾”
